Pecan Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. maple syrup
1/2 stick oleo or butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. pecan halves or chopped pecans
1 unbaked pie crust
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Cook syrup, oleo and sugar in a 2-quart saucepan to boiling.
Boil gently uncovered 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cool.
Place pecans in pie crust.
Mix eggs, vanilla and salt in a large bowl.
Gradually stir in cooled syrup mixture.
Pour over pecans.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
