Ingredients

1 c. real butter
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Mix all ingredients thoroughly with clean hands.
Chill dough. Roll out 1/3 to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into squares or shapes using cookie cutters.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 300\u00b0.
The tops should not be brown.
