Beignets (Ben-Yay)(French Doughnuts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients together.
    Add eggs and milk and mix well.
    Heat oil to 375\u00b0.
    Drop tablespoon size pieces into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
