Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook water, sugar and corn syrup until it spins a thread (230\u00b0 to 234\u00b0).
    Add peanuts and cook until they begin to pop (hard crack stage 300\u00b0 to 310\u00b0).
    Add soda, butter and salt.
    Pour onto a large greased cookie sheet.
    Cool and break into pieces.
