Ingredients

1 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
Preparation

Blend the shortening and sugar; then add the well-beaten egg and the coconut.
Mix and sift the flour and baking powder and add alternately with the milk to the first mixture.
Beat well together.
Bake in a shallow greased pan in moderate oven (300\u00b0) for 30 minutes.
Cut in finger lengths and roll in coconut.
