Apricot Almond Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. dried apricots
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 c. pastry flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. almonds, chopped (blanched)
1 tsp. orange extract
Preparation

Sift together whole wheat flour, pastry flour and soda.
Chop apricots fine.
Add water, butter, sugar and salt.
Cool, then add other ingredients.
Turn into buttered, floured loaf pan or 2 small pans and bake for 1 1/4 hours (or less) in moderate oven (350\u00b0).
