Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    sugar
Preparation
    Place butter and vanilla in bowl; cream together until smooth. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar and continue beating for 1 minute. Add eggs and beat for 30 seconds.
    Stop and scrape bowl.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Gradually add dry ingredients to mixture until thoroughly mixed, about 1 minute.
