1 3/4 c. sifted cake flour or 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Add flour alternately with milk, beating until smooth.
Stir in vanilla and coconut. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
