Fried Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. apples, peeled and sliced
    3/4 stick margarine
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/4 to 1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    other spices (if desired)
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except apples. Bring to a boil, stirring, and cook until it thickens. Add apples; make sure all apples are coated with mixture. Reduce heat and cook until apples are tender. Stir very little so apples will remain intact.
