Strawberry Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. half and half
    3 eggs, well beaten
    3 c. half and half
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 (20 oz.) frozen strawberries in syrup or 1 pt. fresh strawberries with 1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt.
    Gradually stir in 3 cups half and half.
    Stir constantly over low heat until mixture thickens.
    Beat some of the mixture into eggs; beat this into hot sauce in saucepan and stir over low heat for 1 minute. Remove from heat and chill covered.
    Gradually stir in 3 cups half and half and vanilla.
    Pour into ice cream freezer and churn with salt and ice for approximately 20 minutes.
    Add strawberries and churn until hardened.
    Allow to ripen for 2 to 3 hours.
