Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 to 1 1/2 c. shelled raw peanuts
    1 tsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and salt in 2-quart casserole.
    Mix well. Microwave at High for 5 minutes.
    Stir in peanuts.
    Microwave at High for 4 to 11 minutes or until syrup and peanuts are lightly browned, stirring every 2 minutes.
    Stir in butter, vanilla and soda until light and foamy.
    Spread to 1/4 inch thickness on large, well buttered baking sheet.
    Cool until set.
    Makes about 1 pound.
