Daisy'S Pumpkin Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. can pumpkin
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. toasted chopped pecans
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
    36 to 40 gingersnaps
Preparation
    Mix the first 6 ingredients and stir into ice cream.
    Crush beforehand the gingersnaps.
    Cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Put layer of pumpkin mix and another layer of gingersnaps.
    Keep layering.
    Freeze.
    Top with whipping cream.
    Cut into squares. Very good.
