Mildred'S Kolackies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. scalded milk, cooled
1/2 c. shortening
2 pkg. yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
grated orange rind (optional)
4 to 5 c. flour
Preparation

In bowl place melted shortening and cool milk; add next 8 ingredients, stirring well after each.
Finally, add flour 1 cup at a time until a soft dough can be kneaded to a smoothness. Allow to double in shape.
Punch down and form round disks and allow to raise.
Fill a center finger dent with jelly of your choice and bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
