Old Fashioned Beef Stew Aux Fine Herbs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean beef, cut into 2-inch cubes
    oil
    3/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    3 Tbsp. catsup
    2 Tbsp. worcestershire
    2 bay leaves
    3 sprigs parsley
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3 c. water
    2 to 3 beef bouillon cubes
    2 stalks celery, cut in 2-inch pieces
    6 large carrots, cut in thirds
    4 to 5 large potatoes, cut in quarters
    2 large onions, quartered
Preparation
    Brown beef in oil.
    Add seasonings, celery and water.
    Simmer over low heat for 2 hours.
    Add remaining vegetables and simmer 45 to 60 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    Serves 6.
