Fig Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    1 cup cooking oil
    2 cups + 3 Tbsp flour
    1 tsp allspice
    1 pint fig preserves
    3 eggs
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp cloves
    1 cup nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
    Mix in remaining ingredients.
    Pour into tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
