Fish Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. mashed yam/potato
    1 c. flaked or powdered fish
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 or 2 eggs
    milk
    flour (to coat)
    1 c. oil
Preparation
    Put yam/potato and fish into a bowl.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Moisten with a little beaten egg.
    Form into a long roll on a clean board (2 to 3-inch diameter).
    Cut into cakes 1-inch thick.
    Dip first into beaten egg or milk, then coat with flour. Fry in hot oil allowing 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
    Serve with gravy and cooked green vegetables or salad.
