Scotch Shortbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 c. butter
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Break butter into small pieces and work in with hand until dough is smooth.
    Roll out 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut in shape desired.
    Place on ungreased sheet.
    Chill 30 minutes. Bake at 275\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
