Lemon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    3 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 oz. lemon extract
    1/2 lb. white raisins
    4 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. candied cherries
    1 c. candied pineapple
Preparation
    Place all fruit in bowl.
    Mix 1 cup flour with fruit.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add Karo and lemon extract.
    Alternate flour and eggs.
    Beat well.
    Pour mixture over fruit and nuts.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Double recipe makes 5 loaves.
