Midwest Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. diced potatoes
1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. sliced celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
1/4 c. margarine
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 c. cream-style corn
10 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
-
Combine vegetables with boiling water.
Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes (until tender).
Make cream sauce of margarine, flour and milk.
Add cheese; stir until melted.
Add vegetables.
Add corn; heat to serve.
Do not boil after adding vegetables.
