Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. flour (for rolling)
Preparation

Let butter stand until soft.
Add granulated sugar, egg, milk and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
Sift flour and baking powder together; add slowly while mixing.
Chill for 1/2 hour.
