Nannie'S Macaroni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. elbow macaroni
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 c. milk
    1/4 c. onions, finely chopped
    8% sharp process American cheese (2 c.)
Preparation
    Cook macaroni in boiling water with salt until tender.
    Drain. In saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter.
    Blend in flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.
    Add milk; cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
    Add onions and cheese sauce with macaroni.
    Turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until heated through.
    Makes 6 servings.
