Fish Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/8 lb. salt pork
    2 medium onions, chopped
    5 to 8 medium potatoes, chopped
    1 lb. haddock or other white fish
    1 can milk
    2 c. whole milk
    3 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cube salt pork and fry until crisp, not burned.
    Remove pork pieces and fry chopped onions until tender, do not let burn.
    Add to the chopped potatoes in a large kettle.
    Cover (barely) with water.
    Cook until potatoes are just tender.
    Lay fish over the potatoes and cook just until fish flakes.
    Add the milks, if not enough liquid add some more milk.
    Add butter, salt and pepper to taste.
