Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/4 c. brown sugar
    1 c. + 3 tsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    10 whole eggs
    4 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
    1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 1/3 c. applesauce
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. ground nuts
Preparation
    Cream together sugar, butter and salt until mixture is fluffy, light and creamy.
    Add eggs and continue creaming.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with applesauce.
    Stir in raisins and nuts.
    Pour batter into greased and floured baking pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Serves 50.
