Gingersnap Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg or 2 egg yolks
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    granulated sugar
Preparation
    Combine shortening, brown sugar and egg (unbeaten).
    Mix until fluffy.
    Add molasses and beat well.
    Add flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
    Mix well.
    Chill dough thoroughly.
    Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes on ungreased baking sheets.
