Orange Glaze Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    1 lb. dates, cut fine and dredged in flour
    1 1/3 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    4 c. plain flour
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time.
    Add soda to buttermilk, then add alternately with sifted flour.
    Combine floured dates, nuts and orange rind and add to cake batter.
    Bake in tube or loaf pan 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
