Bing Cherry Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (#2) can dark, sweet pitted cherries
1 (#2) can crushed pineapple
2 pkg cherry Jello
2 small Cokes (or 1, 12 oz)
2 (3 oz) pkg cream cheese
1 c chopped nuts (if desired)
reserved juice from cherries and pineapple*
Preparation

Drain liquid from cherries and pineapple, and bring to a boil. Add cherry Jello, let this cool, then add Coke and cream cheese. Cream together cheese and add to pineapple and cherries that have been cut in half.
Add nuts if desired.
Combine the two mixtures and when the purple foam has settled, put in the refrigerator to congeal.
Serves 10 to 12.
