Ingredients

1 c. margarine (2 sticks)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3 c. quick oats
3/4 c. walnuts
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Preparation

Mix together margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Add all other dry ingredients slowly.
Mix well.
Then add chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
Form into small balls.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Yields 5 dozen.
