Big, Fat Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. plain yogurt or sour cream, at room temperature
1/3 c. hot water
1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla; add eggs and mix until smooth.
Mix milk and yogurt together.
Set aside.
Mix all dry ingredients (except cocoa) together.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk/yogurt mixture.
Mix cocoa with hot water to form a paste.
Beat into batter.
Pour into well-greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes for 2 layers; 45 to 50 minutes for tube pan.
Frost with buttercream frosting.
