Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Blend in flour, baking powder and salt.
Chill 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Roll dough out 1/8-inch thick onto powdered sugar surface.
Cut into desired shapes.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, or until edges begin to brown on edges.
Frost with powdered sugar and milk icing.
