Ingredients

1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. flour
1/3 c. butter or oleo, melted
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. cream or milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix brown sugar, nuts and flour together in a large bowl. Stir in the butter; mix with your hands until crumbly.
Remove 1 cup of the mixture to be used later as a topping.
Press remainder in an 8-inch square pan; press firmly.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 12 to 15 minutes.
Beat the cream cheese until smooth with the granulated sugar.
Beat in the egg, lemon juice, cream and vanilla.
Pour this into the baked crust.
Top with the reserved crumbs.
Return to oven; bake at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
Cool thoroughly.
Cut into 2-inch squares.
Refrigerate.
