Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. sugar
4 oz. shortening
4 oz. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. eggs (approximately 5 to 7 eggs)
6 oz. nuts
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream the sugar and the shortening; add vanilla and eggs slowly.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix all together.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes in a 17 x 11 x 1-inch pan.
