Ingredients

1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1/2 lb. chopped citron
1/2 lb. chopped white raisins
1 c. sherry or fruit juice
1/2 lb. pecans, chopped
1/2 lb. almonds, chopped
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. powdered cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. melted butter
1 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Soak cherries, pineapple, citron and white raisins overnight in sherry or fruit juice.
Cover with foil.
