Zucchini Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. zucchini, cut in 1/2-inch chunks
    5 sliced onions
    2 green peppers, cut in 1/4-inch slices
    2 cloves garlic, sliced
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Put zucchini, onions, peppers and garlic in large crock.
    Add 2 tablespoons salt and cover with ice.
    Let stand 3 hours.
    Then drain.
    Combine sugar, spices and vinegar with zucchini mixture and heat to boil.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Seal in hot jars.
