Corn Dog Bites - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
2/3 c. cornmeal
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1 pkg. hot dogs
vegetable oil
mustard (optional)
catsup (optional)
Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl.
Combine oil, egg and buttermilk; stir into flour mixture, mixing well.
Cut each hot dog into 5 pieces.
Dip each piece into batter, coating completely (use toothpicks to aid in dipping).
Pour oil 3 to 4 inches in Dutch oven.
Heat to medium to medium-high heat.
Fry pieces until golden, turning once; drain on paper towels.
Serve with mustard and/or catsup.
