Jalapeno Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. ground jalapeno (1/4 lb.), seeds removed
    1 1/2 c. chopped sweet peppers
    6 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. white vinegar
    1 bottle Certo
    red or green food coloring
Preparation
    Put peppers in blender with vinegar.
    Use about a 7-quart pan; put sugar and pepper mixture in and bring to a boil.
    Boil for 3 minutes and take off stove.
    Add Certo.
    Boil 1 minute longer. Let stand 2 to 4 minutes, then pour into jars.
    Makes approximately 6 to 7 jars.
