Chinese Stir-Fry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 green pepper, cut into strips
    1 carrot, shredded
    1 onion, chopped
    2 celery stalks, sliced thinly
    1 lb. beef, sliced into thin strips
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. ground cumin
    2 Tbsp. sherry
    1/3 c. soya sauce
    1 c. stock
    2 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Brown up the meat in frying pan.
    Add the vegetables and everything except the stock and starch.
    Cover and simmer until the vegetables are done.
