Irene'S Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 cup vegetable shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup milk
Sugar and cinnamon mixture

Preparation

In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt to be used later. Using a mixer, cream together shortening and sugar in mixing bowl.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add flour mixture and milk alternately (flour 4 times, milk 3 times) until thoroughly mixed.
Add vanilla last.
