Pink Party Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 angel food cake or 1 small cake
Preparation
    Dissolve Jell-O and sugar in boiling water.
    Cool; add strawberries and stir until almost thawed.
    Chill until quite thick.
    Cut cake into 1-inch square cubes.
    Mix with Jell-O.
    Mix and pour into large Pyrex dish and chill until firm.
    Mix 3 ounces strawberry Jell-O according to directions.
    Chill until syrupy and pour over cake, Jell-O and strawberries.
    This makes a smoother top.
    Serve with Cool Whip.
