Quiche New Mexico - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 unbaked pie shells (9-inch)
1/2 c. bacon bits
4 eggs, well beaten
2 c. half and half
2 Tbsp. chopped onions
1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Sprinkle bacon bits on bottom of each pie shell. Mix together remaining bacon bits with the rest of the ingredients.
Pour half of this mixture into each pie shell.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted comes out clean.
Serves 12.
