Angel Food Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. boiling water
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 c. drained pineapple
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift the first 3 ingredients 3 times.
    Add boiling water; boil until thick (about 5 minutes), stirring constantly.
    Pour over beaten egg whites; beat well.
    Add pineapple and vanilla; cool slightly.
    Pour into cold pastry shells.
    Top with whipping cream and nut halves.
    Chill.
