Chicken Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large chicken
    1 gal. water
    2 c. sliced okra
    2 c. lima beans
    4 c. chopped tomatoes
    2 sliced onions
    4 c. corn
    4 diced potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    dash of hot sauce
Preparation
    Cut up chicken and cook slowly in gallon of water for 2 hours. Do
    not
    boil rapidly.
    Debone chicken and put back in broth. Add
    next

    ingredients.\tCook
    slowly
    for 6 hours, adding
    hot water
    occasionally to have 5 to 6 quarts of this mixture.
    Then add
    the potatoes and corn.
    Cook 1 more hour. Stir
    often\tto prevent scorching.\tSeason with salt, pepper, sugar
    and
    hot sauce
    as
    desired.
    This is great to have in freezer for a quick meal.
