Green Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. beef round steak
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 c. salad oil
1 c. green onion, thinly sliced
1 c. red or green pepper, cut in 1 inch squares
2 ribs celery, thin sliced
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 tomatoes, cut in wedges (8 pieces each)
Preparation

Cut beef across grain into 1/8 inch strips.
Combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger and beef; toss.
Heat oil in large frying pan or wok.
Add beef and toss over high heat until brown.
Taste and if not tender, reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 to 45 minutes.
Turn heat up; add veggies.
Toss about 10 minutes, until tender-crisp. Combine cornstarch and water.
Add to pan.
Stir and cook until thickened.
Add tomatoes and toss to heat through.
Serve over rice with chow mein noodles.
