Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 to 8 Vidalia onions (medium to large)
    1 1/2 sleeve pkg. Ritz crackers
    butter
    3/4 c. milk
    grated mild Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Slice and wash onions; set aside.
    Crush Ritz crackers.
    Set aside.
    Melt butter in a skillet and saute onions until they are clear.
    Put half the onions in an 11 x 8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over onions and then half of the Ritz crackers over the cheese.
    Repeat these layers.
    Pour milk over casserole and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
