1 c. flour
1 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2 to 3 Tbsp. ice water
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Into medium bowl, measure flour, sugar and salt.
With pastry blender or 2 knives, used scissor fashion, cut shortening into flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until pastry just holds together.
