Quail Or Dove In Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 whole quail or doves
    butter or margarine
    salt and pepper
    1 slice bacon for each bird
    2 lemons (juice)
    1/2 c. minced onion
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Clean quail thoroughly.
    Rub inside and out with butter or margarine, salt and pepper.
    Truss quail and place on spit. Roast under low gas flame 20 to 25 minutes.
    Allow 2 quail per serving.
