Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. water
Preparation

Mix together all ingredients and boil for 5 minutes.
Add a pint of home-canned beets or a can of beets to the sauce.
Let stand for 1/2 hour or more.
Reheat before serving.
