Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage
    1 medium sweet pepper
    1 onion
    2 celery (stalks)
    salt to taste
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    1/2 tsp. pemeril (optional)
Preparation
    Boil sugar, white vinegar and pemeril for 2 minutes.
    Pour over cabbage.
    Refrigerate.
    Keeps 3 weeks.
