Green Fried Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. cornmeal
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. milk
    3 to 4 tomatoes, sliced 1/4-inch thick
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients in bowl.
    Pour milk into another bowl. Put frying pan on medium heat.
    Let pan get hot, then pour in oil to depth of 2-inches.
    Dip tomatoes in milk, then into flour mixture.
    Repeat.
    Fry in oil until golden brown.
