Chili Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. hamburger
1 large onion
1 heaping tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt (more or less to taste)
2 qt. tomato juice
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 qt. dark red kidney beans, drained
Preparation

Brown hamburger in pan with finely cut onion.
A little cooking oil may be added.
When brown, sprinkle chili powder on top.
Also, add salt; mix.
Add tomato juice, sugar and beans. Heat; serve with crackers or add 1 pint cooked macaroni instead. Navy beans may be used instead of kidney beans.
