Lemon Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. margarine
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease an 8-inch square pan.
    Beat margarine for 30 seconds.
    Add 1/4 cup sugar, 1 cup flour and the salt.
    Mix well and press into the bottom of the 8-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Meanwhile, beat eggs.
    Add remaining 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, lemon juice and the baking powder.
    Beat 3 minutes or until slightly thick.
    Pour over baked layer.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown around the edges and the center is set.
    Cool.
    Sift powdered sugar over the top, if desired.
    Cut into squares.
    Makes 16.
